PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN CRUSHES INTER MIAMI 4-0 TO ADVANCE TO CLUB WORLD CUP 2025 QUARTERFINALS

Paris Saint-Germain delivered a dominant performance to defeat Inter Miami 4-0 in their Round of 16 clash in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, held on Sunday evening at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the United States.

STRONG START AND IDEAL OPENING FOR PSG
From the opening whistle, the Parisian team took control of the match and didn’t take long to break the deadlock. Portuguese star João Neves opened the scoring in the 6th minute with a powerful strike that left the Inter Miami goalkeeper helpless.

OFFENSIVE DOMINANCE AND A FLURRY OF GOALS
Paris Saint-Germain maintained their attacking pressure, and once again, Neves found the back of the net in the 39th minute, capping off a well-executed team play with a precise finish.
Just five minutes later, Inter Miami defender Tomás Avilés accidentally scored an own goal in the 44th minute, misjudging a dangerous cross and inadvertently sending the ball into his own net.
Right before the halftime whistle, Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi added the fourth goal for PSG in the 45+3rd minute, taking advantage of a well-placed pass inside the box and calmly slotting the ball into the right corner.

QUIET SECOND HALF AS INTER MIAMI EXITS
In the second half, PSG focused on maintaining their lead, with a few attempts to extend the score. Meanwhile, Inter Miami struggled to create any real threats, failing to seriously test the French defense throughout the match.

PSG BOOKS SPOT IN QUARTERFINALS
With this emphatic win, Paris Saint-Germain secures a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2025 Club World Cup, while Inter Miami exits the tournament at the Round of 16 stage after a disappointing performance that fell short of expectations.
